Dizziness & Vertigo Relief with Chiropractic and Functional Medicine in Farmington & Lakeville, MN

Feeling dizzy, off-balance, or like the room is spinning? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to live in fear of the next episode. At iHeal Chiropractic and Functional Medicine, we build a clear plan that helps you steady your steps and get your life back.

What Causes Dizziness & Vertigo?

Common Triggers We See in Farmington & Lakeville Dizziness and vertigo often stem from BPPV (inner-ear crystals), neck-related or “cervicogenic” dizziness, vestibular neuritis or post-viral changes, vestibular migraine, blood sugar or blood pressure swings, and dysautonomia.

BPPV, Vestibular Migraine, and Post-Viral Vertigo Brief spinning with position changes usually points to BPPV and often improves with safe repositioning maneuvers. Migraine-related dizziness and post-illness vertigo respond well to a combined neurological and lifestyle plan

Neck-Related (Cervicogenic) Dizziness Explained Stiff or irritated upper-neck joints can scramble balance signals from the eyes, inner ear, and joint receptors. Gentle, precise care restores cleaner input so your brain can trust your balance system again.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What’s the difference between dizziness and vertigo?

Dizziness feels like lightheadedness or being off-balance. Vertigo feels like the room is spinning or tilting. Common triggers include head movement, dehydration, low blood sugar, stress, poor sleep, visual overload (busy stores/screens), and neck or jaw tension. Keep a simple diary (date, sleep, meals, stress, cycle phase, head positions/visual triggers) to spot patterns.

We address the spine–brain connection and tight neck/upper-back tissues that can confuse your balance system. Care may include gentle cervical adjustments, soft-tissue work and posture retraining (upper traps, suboccipitals, jaw/temporal areas), TMJ and rib mechanics support, and workstation/sleep coaching—often reducing cervicogenic (neck-related) dizziness.

We look for and calm inflammation, including signs of an inflamed brain (neuroinflammation) that can heighten light-headedness, motion sensitivity, and brain fog. We assess hydration/electrolytes, stabilize blood sugar, check key nutrients (B12, ferritin/iron, vitamin D, magnesium), and address gut-driven inflammation and triggers. The goal is to lower inflammatory load on your nervous system so your vestibular pathways can recover.

About eight weeks with consistent care and home exercises (some BPPV cases improve faster).
